I need ideas on what pranks to pull on an 11 year old and an 8 year old I am their parent and do not want to really punish them at the moment but need ideas on pranks to make them think about what they are doing
@Pantsthenerds I'm not suggesting punishing them. You need to set down rules. And, unfortunately for you, now that you're the parent figure, not only do you have to wake up before they do to help them get ready for school, you're going to have to understand that they will continue to act out and try to undermine you because they are dealing with a major life upheaval. You need help from older family members. It's also a good idea to start family therapy. Talk to a therapist about what's going on and he/she will help you with establishing boundaries with them, along with finding other resources to help you learn to parent.
Not a good idea. At that age they don't connect dots really well. Early teens "might" be different. Parents tend to think their kids are a lot smarter than they truly are.
Heck my dad bought me an encyclopedia set when I was two. 😆
I saw a vid where a woman (in the kitchen supposedly working on dinner, and harboring a knife) cut a carrot to look like a finger. Then she covered it in fake blood, pulled in one finger, and then started screaming. Kids ran in and freaked out with blood all over what appeared to be a cut off finger. She's yelling for them to get a towel, etc. They get a towel, and she starts screaming "not that towel, that's the good towel". It was a riot.
bucket of water on door open ajar, rubber band on faucet sprayer, flour in hairdryer, replace sugar with salt, shaving cream in shoe ...grew up with brother
