It’s creepy the number of parallels between book written decades before and the reality. Titan=Titanic. Almost the same length, tonnage, both were “unsinkable” and both struck an iceberg and sank on their maiden voyage. @Quizzical

One more bad thing about [i]Titanic,[/i] it is a movie designed to convince preteen girls, and very young women, that if you meet a guy and fall in love with him and, after knowing him a matter of hours, you have sex with him in the back seat of a car (albeit on a glamorous cruise ship), he will be your forever love, at least for the next few days, and then, smiling with joyous altruistic love, cheerfully give his life for you by allowing himself to drown in a freezing cold ocean.
