Like why do they need to say that line at all? Why can't they just proceed to talk?

"I don't love you anymore" is probably the worst, followed by
"you don't work here anymore",
then finally
"i don't want sex anymore"
I think if someone formed a sentence with all three together i'd probably spontaneously combust 😄
