Don't you think if you remain single for a long time you are automatically out of the league?

I mean then there is no chance for you to get someone.

I think sharing your life probably gets harder the older you are.
Maybe the longer you're without a partner too !

I've been on my own for so long, i'm not even sure i'd want anybody in my life.
Based on past experiences anyway.

@Picklebobble2 That is my story as well. I could not possibly cohabitate at this point in my life. There are certain freedoms to being/living alone that I'd have to give up and I do NOT wanna do that
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@Fernie Yes i understand that.
There are certain things i miss. Conversation is a big one ! Social things that are easier to do as a couple but as a single make you wonder....if the effort required is worth the effort.
And of course the whole sharing thing.
Fernie · F
@Picklebobble2 I miss all of that too. I guess we need to find people just like us...companionship but we all live in our own spaces.

I'm still hoping

@TinyTodger hoping is one and actually getting is another
Yea the longer you leave it the harder it gets
SW-User

Let me tell you a very brieff summary of my experience about.
By when I found and later lost the love of my life, I´ve been near to 12 to 13 years divorced and more than five additional years separated.
For about most part of this time I was single, exception made for a two year very heterodox "intent".

What is true haves a week relation with finding love again.
But it may have some wheight in the task to make it work.

When we live a single life for long time, we get some hard to change unconcious reflexes on what we may think and feel as individual "freedoms".
Love should and need to make a wide place for the new entity: the "we" thing.
It´s a not easy task.

God no. I had some rich dude hitting on me in the health food store tonight. And I've been a single pringle for a while now.
Peaceful · F
@SW-User I talked with him for almost an hour. 🤷‍♀️

So he has a good idea about me.
SW-User

Peaceful · F

Even if it's true (I doubt it is), I would still try.
