@SW-User I need a highly detailed textured asphalt, but it requires a lot of freaking polygons. Can I like bake the mesh so it's just one shape and will that make it less laggy?

@MartinTheFirst I haven't used baking very often, but I believe it fucks up your shadows and you need to unwrap all your textures and then manually re-apply the texture.

Why do you need a detailed mesh for asphalt though? Are ya making stills, models or animations?

@SW-User I'm making a panning shot over a energy drink standing on asphalt. I want it to look stunning, and unless it looks stunning there's no need to do this :/ I deleted the subdivisions and it helped a little, didn't hurt the quality too bad.

Is the final animation stuttering as well?

Reduce the complexity of the scene or live with the stutter.

You could simply hide unnecessary objects or groups though, maybe that'll help ya.

@MartinTheFirst Get a new PC! Buy a i7-8700k. It will kill all the stuttering in the universe.
