Romanian court tells man he is not alive ...
In a case reminiscent of a Kafka novel, a Romanian court has ruled that a 63-year-old man is dead despite what would appear to be convincing evidence to the contrary: the man himself appearing alive and well in court.

Constantin Reliu asked the court in the town of Barlad to overturn a death certificate obtained by his wife after he had spent more than a decade in Turkey, during which time he was out of contact with his family. The court told him he was too late, and would have to remain officially deceased.
Maybe he needs to go to a 3rd country and play dead again, because clearly if he WERE dead, he culdn't PRETEND to be dead, ergo, he is alive.

@Mamapolo2016 Sound reasoning 🤔

the man is obviously dead and just pretending to be alive.

So, if he had been on time, they could've overturned his death? o.O

😂

I'd go on a crime spree... 😁
That's bonkers! He ought to bring that to a higher court.

@wafertime He can't. You can't appeal death ...
@WoodyAq How about he files for a whole new separate case, such as correction of a public document or something. There must be something he can do.

@wafertime He could try to be born again ...
Those Turks can be pretty strict. This is an example of how silly laws can be.
So... no more taxes?

@AcidBurn That was my first thought. But apparently he can't get a job, so the point is moot.
