What (or who), wouldn't you want to find living under your bed?

cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Copperhead snake...I worked with woman who went home and said she smelled something like a dead rat in her bedroom...she told her husband "snakes smell like dead rats, I think there is a snake under the bed"...they went and looked and sure enough...with a broom and a hoe they got it...that would have been a nightmare if she didn't have a good sense of smell....snakes throw out a musky stink when they get scared and a scared copperhead is a dangerous one.

We do get them but apart from one in my garden, I've never seen one of in the wild over here. @cherokeepatti

@pennynoodles I got a lot of grass snakes here, they don't bother anyone but I've also found a baby rattlesnake and some other types. I don't stick my hand anywhere outside where a snake can hide and I'm careful to use a hoe when I want to pick up a board off the ground, they can hide under things and then get you when you reach down to pick it up.

As you said, I am lucky @cherokeepatti
