Why is it OK to go to a beach wearing a bikini, but at the same time, going to great lengths to make sure nobody sees your panties or bra?

Everywhere I have been in Europe Pre puberty kids swim naked most of the time. Even in England which is probably the most prudish country in Europe.

@UreBesFrend of course I cross my legs. No show panties if I’m wearing tight or white pants... because undies are unsightly when showing through clothes. So are nipples, if you want to continue to make eye contact with people.
