This is aimed more at those who partake, but what are your thoughts of the notion that marijuana was put here *for* us to enjoy?

I'm not an atheist, but I also don't believe that the Gods do anything "for" us. They do what they want, what's in their nature, and we're pulled along behind them.

That said, it's a sign, perhaps, that at least some of them aren't bastards!

I always (but never bothered to look it up) assumed that it was some herbivore defense so the deer get really ripped and have panic attacks and don't eat the weed again. Since we're humans, we're crazy and like to get fucked up on purpose to be able to deal with the terrible, terrible knowledge.

Nothing magical about it. Opium and Coca are natural too. In fact, alcohol is natural as well. Were they all put here for us to enjoy as well?

Positioning? It's a fucking plant dude. It grows like any other plant grows...

It ain't any more magical than corn, or cocoa, or any other plant on Earth... We humans are resourceful and make use of what we have--to a fault, really... I used to smoke every day but quit over a year ago. The feeling is nice, yeah, but the marijuana plant doesn't make life any better than it already is. Just another thing to use, often to excess.
