Clearly you have never seen the inside of a Goose mouth. they DO have teeth on their tongues. perhaps they're afraid of what they could in fact do or what theyre thinking while looking at them. i was once attacked by a duck when i was a kid. as a result, i dislike geese, not that far fetched. lol
