I Hate Mondays

Iposted these Boomtown Rats song lyrics a couple of years ago on EP... some people didn't get that it was a song and protested heavily and intensely.
the song is from 1980 or '81 and is based on a real event in San Diego in 1979; a 16 y.o. girl who lived across from her old elementary school one day went into the house, got a gun and waited on the lawn for little kids to start showing up at school, then started popping them off. No kids died, but a bunch were injured on the playground. 2 teachers were killed. When the arresting officers asked her why she did it; "I don't like Mondays, this livened things up a bit."
BUT recently I found out that a friend was injured by an abusive boyfriend about a year ago and wound up in the hospital on ... a Monday. I think she regularly has some monday stress and I suspect that is the echo of that event.

I find mine are much better now that I don't work on them. It is just a day. Sometimes my Tuesdays resemble Mondays.
