I Have Diabetes

a couple months ago i went to the hospital for pancreatitis. wat does this have to do with diabetes? i go in for pancreatitis but then suddenly they say im diagnosed with it. i have never had diabetes before so who knows where it came from - if my pancreatitis made it come out or it just developed. accurately i have type 1 but theyre calling it 1.5 becuz theres a chance its temporary - supposedly - i dont know if i believe in the chance anymore cuz theyre not saying and ive been doing this even in the hospital and continuing

Your pancreas has oh so much to do with your possibility of diabetes. When you eat food especially carbs, your blood glucose levels rise and it triggers the pancreas to produce insulin to level it out. Without your pancreas
producing the hormones insulin and glucagon to control sugar levels in your body would be out of control. Your pancreas also produces digestive enzymes to break down food and without it you wouldn't be able to eat. Your pancreas is very important. I'm not an expert so ask your doctor for more info but I do have a hereditary form of chronic pancreatitis; it sounds like you have acute pancreatitis which is only slightly different. It is a very serious illness so be sure you pay attention to what they tell you and if you drink or smoke you need to stop if at all possible.
