If you cannot see that the flag is merely the symbol of one's allegiance to the nation you honor and respect, then you tend to prove what most of us have long known - Canadians are rather silly. (And you don't HAVE to pledge allegiance, It's your choice. You can chose to detest the county of your birth. It's called freedom, something your nation is sadly depleting.
