I Have a College Degree (am a College Graduate)
It wasn't easy for me though. I was only the second one in my family to go to college, the first being my older brother. My parents didn't go to college, their siblings didn't, and their parents sure as heck didn't, as they all grew up very poor in Mexico. They did what they could, and that was to motivate and encourage me...which they did a great job of.
I was blessed to get help from my older brother until he moved out right after he graduated, then I was pretty much on my own for the second half. I had to gather the courage to ask my instructors for help, some of which already didn't expect much out of me because I'm Hispanic. The fact that I boldly went to my instructors actually showed them how determined that I was and that made them want to help me.
All in all, I made it through. There were many times I wanted to give up but thanks be to God, my loving family, and my two friends (who were in the same situation as me), I kept climbing the mountain and reached the top.
