I Am In a Long Distance Relationship

It's horrible. We met when I was studying in Scotland. He was also studying permaculture in northern Scotland, but came down to see my city at the same time I was there. We started chatting and went on a date a few days later, but he had to go back up north. We continued talking and have been inseparable ever since. Except for the fact that we are physically very far apart. 9,000 miles apart. We spent so many months together before he had to go home, then I visited him and met his family and friends for a month in June and July. The last time we saw each other was on the 26th of July.

We have been trying to find a way to see each other again, but I want him to meet my family, which means he needed to get a job and save up to come see me. It took him months to get a job because the unemployment rate is much higher in his country. The salary is also much lower, but he finally got a fixed, temporary job and should be able to come see me in December. It has been very trying. We miss each other so much. At times I am overcome with desperation to be reunited. If I weren't trying to find a job myself so that I can sponsor him to come to the US on the k-1 fiance visa after he visits me in December I would already be over there. I almost think it would be easier if I talked with him less, because talking with him more when we already miss each other so much makes it even harder :(
