I Live In Australia

The Australian 2019/2020 hydro-pyro crisis is getting worse and it's not yet halfway through summer.... Today where I live it's going to be 44 degrees C but in some areas more away from the coast it's going to be between 45 and 50 C. Combine with tinder-dry weather, and winds and the bushfire drought crisis is going to get worse! Current temp here at 1.15 pm is 43.6 C. ouch! No significant rains on the long-range forecast models until around April or May, and water restrictions are up to level 2 (or of 5 possible levels).

Sunny Coast is averaging 28 degrees, not hot at all, just average we needed rain but thats arrived as always, thank goodness

been lucky up here the idiots with matches all seem to be down south, poor buggers are really suffering there

It's really terrible. I've been following the news about it here in the states. Worse than the Cali fires.

Are you anywhere near the fires?

are you anywhere the bushfires ?

@Tres13 All the animals & the people too that have been killed. I have a friend here who's property is at risk. I'm very worried. I'm glad you're far enough away & safe.

@Tres13 Not directly. There is a small fire (a few hundred hectares) not far away but the big risk is the NSW south coast areas at the moment. The fires started occuring back in October and now it's january and a massive area of land has been burnt.
