I Believe Life Is a Life Long Lesson

Working Class.??. I am so Proud of my Working Class Background .. The words working Class .Do you Believe you are Working Class..??

As a child i lived in a small market town in North Est England. A small Back to back terraced house. Two Rooms down stairs and two rooms upstairs. A Small walled back yard.. A coal fire in the front room was the only heating in the house .

We had no Carpets .The Kitchen had a stove and a sink with only cold running water ..No Tv ..No Bathroom .The Toilet was outside in a little shed no toilet paper just bits of torn up News paper .We Had a tin Bath which we would bring in and put in front of the fire for a wash ..The water was warmed on the stove and put into the tin bath .Funny because the warmth of the fire was so warm on your body ..

Life was so much easier. We never locked doors ..Everyone in the street help each other .We Never had Anything but did not want anything .. That simple start in life made me the man i am today .The Values i hold ..

How things have changed ..Life has become all about money and possessions . Nothing is of value in life ..Easy come easy go. Respect for other people has been lost ..

The world has lost its self to the need for Money .. People are full of Greed and Hatred ..

We are killing the world and The future of all our Families ..

I grew up in a relatively modern house (1955), still no CH, but toilet inside. The local infants' school, which I attended had outside toilets though. In that very cold winter ('62/3) the cold must have caused some damage because the water kept streaming out of the overflow onto the playground, until one day it got so cold that all there was was the biggest icicle you ever saw...All knocked down now, of course...houses there instead.

This is so true..life was simpler back then..I remember doors being left open neighbours helping each other and not having much but not wanting much ..people have grown greedy life was better back then
