School p e [I Am English]

USA. We wore tennis shoes in P E. Of course, we had to change into our gym clothes and then afterwards take a shower and oh I hated that. And I had the meanest gym teacher.

I never heard of plimsolls, but P E brings up very bad memories. I hated P E in school. 😂

Girls were not allowed to wear anything on their feet at our school. We also took off our shoes and socks for drama and dance lessons.

The boys at our school wore trainers, but the girls had bare feet for most lessons.

When I used to teach PE, indoor PE was done in bare feet

We were supposed to wear plimsolls, but if one girl forgot hers then the whole class went barefoot for safety reasons. Gymnastics and dance were always done without shoes and socks.

We could choose and I did PE in plimsolls for a while but was encouraged by my best friend to switch to bare feet and eventually I did. I didn't regret it.

We had to have our sneakers or get marked unprepared. Who wants to do gym in 100° weather during summer school?

I wore sneakers and actually didn’t participate 👍🏻

Either but I preferred barefoot

Unless of course we had swimming.
