I Hate Taxes

TurboTax ad on TV this week. "Free...free..free free free free. TurboTax Free is FREE."

So I used TurboTax Free to file my taxes.
Free turns out to be about $80. And that is for a SIMPLE return with 1 W4 wages, 2 form 1099 SS income, and a Standard Deduction. One page, that's all. $40 to fill out the form, and $40 to send the electronic filing.

I saw their "Free...free..free free free free" ad again last night. Its free like Democrats love America. NOT!
all the "free file" options? CHARGE For the State tax, that is thier money stream. and many times? those tax sites MISS details that you could use, to lower the taxes

yeah,, I prefer the flat tax approach,,
the same percentage for all groups with no special discount for financial incomes.

I do taxes, * sigh* and it could be much easier.

Donate to us! write it off your taxes?

not unless you itemize AND donate more than 12,000
@Greybare yeah, but only or 2 years! the corporate cuts are permanent
oddly many of our biggest corps? have a NEGATIVE tax rate so they didnt need the cut anyway

here are 30 of those, from Business INsider
ten years old, but my investigation shows this has gotten even worse!

@Greybare I see Democrats AND Republicans
as two halves of the same exploitation system

they are in all cases, beholden to whoever they thing will support them.

the constitution, did NOT create a "2 party system" THAT was manipulated into being, by those parties,

we need better ways to govern than those offered by the political monopoly.
