I Love Trees

[youtube=https://youtube.com/watch?v=kQ5PD5Di1sg]

It used to be my routine to sit at the table and watch the tree dance in the wind. Mom says, "Look at the tree, how beautiful it is, and its flowers..." Mom has not been here in weeks. It will break her heart to know the tree is gone.

Why would they cut that down??? It was just absolutely beautiful. I’m so sad for you that it’s gone. 🤗❤️🤗

It already broke your heart when you knew the tree was cut. I look at the video and see the nice relaxing feeling the tree gave, and why it is missed so much.
It seems your sensitivity towards trees is a family thing 😊

@Cierzo I miss him very much, yes. His stump is almost covered by new grasses they have planted. Been but a few weeks and almost all traces of him is gone now. They have planted two frangipanis in its place. Frangipanis have beautiful flowers, but it will never be the same for me.

@novembermoon It is not a question of beauty. You were attached to that tree in a way you cannot be with another plant replacing it.

Why has the tree been cut? It looks lovely and healthy in the video.

@novembermoon Maybe you can plant a new tree at your new place.

@Mugin16 thanks.😊 It is hard to plant a tree in a tiny flat but I can try big plants 😀

That post reminded me of the saying "Civilisation is men planting trees under whose shade they will never sit".

@Mugin16 there is an equivalent Chinese saying: 前人种树,后人乘凉。 it is the generations before that plant the tree, and the generations after that sit in the shade. 😊
