I agree!!!
The whole "brutally" honest meme is a false narrative... which fails on several levels:
1) first... that implies the person knows what they are talking about... and I find when someone says that upfront... you are about to hear some nonsense...
2) it's inconsiderate... which relates to ...
3) it's an excuse to be mean and cruel, masquerading as honesty.

My grandmother was very blunt. She just said what she thought, but it came across as insensitive. My cousin already knew she was heavier than her friends... My grandmother kept telling her,"You are fat. Lose weight." Good Lord woman leave her alone.
