I Want to Learn Some Form of Martial Art

I know some already because I use to kickbox. Now I miss it, but from what I hear, my college has a few clubs. :) Woo!

Will do parkour too when I get more fit. ;)
I recommend escrima, a Philippine art that teaches from the beginning with two sticks. It is a very fine way to analyze all other martial Sports.
Lee jun fahn, (Bruce Lee) started Jeet kun do, a very smart system.
Consider Fencing, hidden secrets there, Mr Lee recommended it.
Lastly, an with real emphasis,
Aikido. I can't recommend it enough.
Probably on you campus.
Tai the chuan as well.

I am very sorry that I cannot spell Chinese words well.

Next year I want to learn Krav Maga. I want to better my balance first.
@ravenwind43 be careful with that one, it is a very well distilled straightforward art, perhaps science is the better word.
A long-term study in it will induce injury to yourself.
I do suggest a parallel course and Aikido a much more subtle art that in the end is superior to most, though I do not believe any system is superior to all other systems.
Ultimately, they are all scissors, paper, rock!

bruce lee once said that there is only one style of martial art, and until we grow extra arms and legs there will be only one style of martial art.

@SatyrService indeed, one cannot attack you with a broken limb for example, target the joints
@xSharp Master Lee, one of the few people I will use that term for, changed our world some would say for the better others less so.
belt Mills, and harsh and brutal methods, are often found within the martial Sports World. This is inappropriate. The most important thing is to learn self-control, the source and base of all success.

@SatyrService "It takes 1,000 days to forge the spirit and 10,000 days to polish it."

Awesome ! You remember the workouts ? If your core is strong it’s so much easier to do the work 😁👍🏻

I used to love karate. I would love to do that again if I can get well enough.
