I don't think that's true those couples get more attention. Guys like women with game. They only go for good-looking girl if the more Intelligent have bad game or is self-conscious. We'll start looking at those who "look good" just there is a 100,000 years or so that said while it may not be true they, "good looking girls' are healthier and more fertile. It's primal.

Why do women go for the confident "cocky" guys who use them and leave and reject the sweet, modest romantic ones?

Intelligence can be a source of hubris, and harness for wickedness.

My cousins, siblings of each other, mostly girls, are very intelligent, straight A students, with very intelligent friends. All went to notable schools. I've seen how wicked, cold, cruel, sadistic they can be.

I've also seen how open mindedness and cautiousness can be seen as not being smart and bimboish.

And I've seen the hasty and the rash admired as quick witted and intelligent.

A bimbo will be easy to fool, and that's what they want I guess

It doesn’t have to be either or. A girl could be both. But if it comes down to one, a guy (I imagine) can find lots of intellectual stimulation from his guy friends. So it often comes down to his ‘fun’ and his ego with a looker without brains. Sad because what happens if he marries her and she unravels?
