Only affectionate within a romantic relationship

In general I’m the kind of person who tenses up when people hug me, like work colleagues, friends, some family members. However, in a romantic relationship I’m very very affectionate. I love doing things like holding hands, cuddling, kissing, and any kind of touching. I like to be in a relationship with someone who likes these things too. I love cuddling with a partner while we watch tv, and having his arm around me, his hand on my leg, or just holding hands.

Some people are affectionate with their friends too though, which I think is fine as long as the people they do that to are comfortable with it. I wouldn’t be comfortable being with a partner who does that with their friends though @SW-User

@RebeccaJP nice post. I understand what you’re saying. there needs to be boundaries between intimate relationships and platonic relationships
