I Believe In the Book of Mormon

Nephi 1 : 2 - 11

Now this he spake because of the stiffneckedness of Laman and Lemuel; for behold they did murmur in many things against their father, because he was a visionary man, and had led them out of the land of Jerusalem, to leave the land of their inheritance, and their gold, and their silver, and their precious things, to perish in the wilderness. And this they said he had done because of the foolish imaginations of his heart.

It's my favorite scripture in The Book of Mormon

You really shouldn't. Joseph Smith was a con artist.

And I'm blocked. Guess some people just can't handle the truth.
CalmUnderThePalm · 31-35, M
@Dolimyte Because it's stupid what you've said.

did you ever consider what a book like that printed on gold pages would weigh? And how far did that little guy Smith run with it?
@CalmUnderThePalm there are countless testimonials of people who learned the TRUTH. Check them out .

pure nonsense

Why is this one your favorite scripture? Is it because the sons lacked faith and did not honor their father, or is it because it highlights how their father did not put his trust in the material world but only the things of the spirit?
4meAndyou · F
@CalmUnderThePalm It was a hard lesson for the sons, one they weren't ready to learn.
CalmUnderThePalm · 31-35, M
@4meAndyou Another reason why it's my favorite.

@CalmUnderThePalm If your father took you to California right now, and asked you to sleep in a tent in the middle of a burned out town with very little food and water and stay there for months to help the people trying to rebuild, would you do it if you had not grown up in the church and had the training you have had?
Shayla · F
Unfortunately I have read too much to believe.
