So many seem to feel this is the version of Cohen's 'Hallelujah' that best captures the emotions and meanings. I may be an odd one, and it is a beautiful rendition, and it can be felt Jeff Buckley felt the song through him in how he sung the song and played it in his interpretation of the song full of sadness. Yes, in Cohen's version, there is sadness, profoundly, but he also wanted to write a song that displayed the meaning of 'Hallelujah' to people of yee little faith and what joy and love he found.
