It is a good short quote, and it's associated with several things as far as i know. It's originally from a work supposedly written by a mysterious figure, Hermes Trismegistus and is associated with Hermeticism. An ancient belief mixing elements of science and spirituality, quite interesting, albeit very old.
I had no idea until a while ago that it was ever a thing and was intrigued when i learned of it, through a game oddly enough :)
