I Dropped Out of College

Yup... don't regret it either. Too many horror stories from friends and relatives about student loan payments. Luckily only stayed 1 semester, and now debt free!

College is often times an over-promising, under-delivering noose around your neck.

Yeah that's what it seemed like was happening.

Yup. That's what I didn't want to be.

One of the reasons I joined the Army was to eliminate student debt when I went to college. Going back to school now for 4 years, VA is paying everything. Takes alot of work, dedication, and patience but it's possible to not pay for your education.

You don't need college but you do need a plan. Start taking jobs that teach you valuable skills that you can build on. Make yourself valuable. If it doesn't make your resume look better get a different job.

So did I, once I figured out that my computer science professors were actually learning more about computers and programming them from me than I was learning from them--yet I was the one paying for tuition and books.

So did I. Never had any student loan debt, either. I've been self-educating myself ever since.

I hadn't declared yet but I was probably heading for English Lit or Philosophy.
