My friend's dog Daisy was hit by a truck a few hours ago. I just got home after finishing burying her.
She was one of the most willful, high-spirited dogs I've ever met. Hugely energetic, a lot of fun, and never lost an argument. She was the best friend of all of my dogs, and taught our traumatized rescue Enzo how to live like a farm dog which involves swimming in dugouts, chewing on old horse bones, and barking at ducks. My dogs still go nuts every time her name is mentioned, and I don't know how to explain to them she's gone.
Well sadly she was needed somewhere else. The man upstairs needed help with the other pets up their in the clouds and needed Daisy and her special skills.

That’s heartbreaking. Losing a dog can feel like a death in the family, because it essentially is. I’m sorry to hear this.
