I Am Afraid of Rejection

I'm afraid to text her because I fear she might say no. She hasn't responded to my last two text messages and I'm afraid she may have blocked me or lost interest. She wanted to go see a movie with me, but she had to work on the days when I tried to schedule. I've known her since fourth grade and all I wanted was to spend time with her.

Lack of prompt response from a girl likely means low interest. Usually we will wait on edge for a call or message from someone we are thinking about, even if they don't know we exist, then have to restrain ourselves from replying in 10 seconds in case we look desperate. But it doesn't necessarily mean she doesn't like you. It could be that her thoughts are consumed with someone else right now.

@adhane05 Never worry about looking desperate. Girls actually like that as long as it isn't stalker level. Hopefully you will find someone who is into you as much as you are into them. When you do you will have no doubts.

I know it might be hard since you want to see her, but wait a bit. She might be busy or she wants time to herself. If she just doesn't seem to show any interest in hanging out with you eventually, I say it's time to just move on. There are plenty of other females out there.

@SW-User It's been two weeks since I texted her last. I think I will text her one more time asking if she is angry at me, just to be sure I didn't say or do anything dumb. I would still put effort into spending time with her even if it isn't much. I try not to give up easily as long as she doesn't appear annoyed. 😅
