I never had cool cartridge consoles as a kid I had a commodore 64 with a tape cassette loader, took like 10 minutes to load up a game and I had an Atari ST when I got a bit older. I did get a SNES and an N64 but I got them far later when they were out of favour and dirt cheap to pick up.
