I Am a Gamer

Nintendo Classic Mini

A while ago, I went ahead and bought this thing due to my desire to play the old Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) games.

When I was a child, I used to play a lot of what appears to have been (or something closely related to) Famicom--an entertainment system that is very much like the American NES version, sporting the same games. I still have this old console, but for some reason, it isn't working so well.

They've been bringing out similar releases for old Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) games and Sega Genesis or Megadrive games.
I have sweet memory with SNES 馃槃馃槃

@YukikoAmagi I mean one of those emulators (like a virtual console on your PC) that you can/could download with "roms" (basically, the games) and play them on your PC.

I used to do that for years until I decided to stop after the idea started to bother me that it was or might be illegal.
@Andrew19EightyFive i know, like zsnes right? Well.. um.. i never bother about legal or illegal stuff 馃槄馃槄

@YukikoAmagi I remember zsnes--think that was the first emulator I ever used, back in 1999 or 2000 unless I'm mistaken. One of the first games I played on there was 'Super Mario All-Stars'.

I was so excited, I can imagine, when I first saw this on the family computer.

I wanted to get one of these back around Christmas time but they were impossible to track down.

@SW-User By the sounds of it, it wasn't around all that long before they pulled it. Looks like I got it during the small window of opportunity back in 2016, I think.

Also, my brother was speaking to me about it and they might release it again very soon. I can imagine they want to create a greater demand for it or something.

Currently, unless I'm mistaken, the SNES version is still available on the market.
