I Like Discovering New Music
it seems to be harder and harder with each passing year. not sure if I'm set in my ways, 'they don't make them like they usedta', I'm just slipping out of touch with the rest of the world, or some combination of all of that. I used to dig some of the suggestions that youtube would come up with but lately that's mostly old stuff I associate with people I'd do better to not think about. so I'm going to aim for visiting npr's tiny desk concerts (www.npr.org/series/tiny-desk-concerts/, if you want to follow along) to find something new more often. I don't think there'll be a very good range of music there (I'm relative sure I'll never find much in the way of metal there.. hard, death, speed or otherwise).
anyway, the last band I found in my normal means that I liked enough to buy their album - the Walin' Jennys.
