I Like Discovering New Music
A bit of background and this track. I'm not a grunge fan, never have been. I first heard this one saturday evening in the UK on a radio show hosted by a NY guy now living in the UK, called Paul Gambaccini. He has a weekly show called 'America's hits'. As the name suggests, it's US songs and tunes based. One evening, without introduction this came through the speakers...The first opening bars and subtle key change that then twisted and turned, soared up and then came crashing through my brain, until the beautiful, delicate almost tentative subtle picking....and then again...and again...
At the end 'Gambo' simply said, "A quartet from Texas......"...I HAD to have the album. It was only later I found out there were no synths in this, just guitars and drums...
