I Have Weird Dreams

Lately I dream often that I am with some students (I am a teacher in real life). They behave in ways that are hard for me to understand and accept, being careless, lazy...Sometimes I feel really angry with their behaviour. Others I just feel contempt. In the end I get away from them.

I wonder what these dreams may mean. I wonder if those students in my dreams are not really my students and school is not really school, but a depiction of people in general and the world, and those dreams show my disappointment with the way the world is going, and the indifference many seem to show.

I think your dreams often tell you that things in the real world are not going right and you're disturbed. The idealist is strong in you, and hence you feel it even more acutely. We are both serious people who grapple a lot with conflicts that come about from things in the outer world and our personal beliefs. When they clash, sometimes those feelings manifest in dreams. The 'getting away' from it all is very present in your dream. It is a sign that you need an escape.
