There's been an ordering frenzy even though i'm deep in debt
This is to keep y'all up to speed with my collection
What i've received physically that i didn't know about before last here over 2 weeks ago
3 Kino Lorber sets after seeing a review praising these together i had to get them highlights in brackets --- 10 Yiddish Classics (The Dybbuk), Pioneers First Women Filmmakers (The Red Kimona) and Pioneers in African American Cinema (10 to Eleven)
The Studio Ghibli collection of 24 movies on 8 blu rays, these are defective and got a refund, but managed miraculously to play a few, i loved Nausicaa!!
Buster Keaton -- have seen so far 7 films, Sherlock Jr is my fave, so refreshing and at a brisk 45 minutes, Buster was amazing, and so tragic how MGM ruined his artistic freedom. More of him on the way.
ON THE WAY
A bunch of Chaplin, but i'll have to get the Criterion of Gold Rush as the set i got only has the later version
6 FW Murnau's
7 Ernst Lubitsch silents, i'm in a heavy silent era phase, a grand's worth is in my Amazon basket, anyone is welcome in buying some for me hehe
Couple o' German Expressionism The Hands of Orlac and Waxworks
The Holocaust documentary Shoah -- the Eureka edition that has 4 extra films, as opposed to just 3 that Criterion offers.
The Mack Sennett collection volume 1
Pudovkin's Bolshevik trilogy, wish there was a blu ray of Dovshenko's trilogy.
A Page of Madness --- it took me by surprise that this was on disc, it's a cool avant garde Japanese silent film
The Studio Canal 5 film set of Godard, first time for me in HD for him.
and last and also least the Marvel 23 movie collection i am afraid it will be just like the Ghibli set, hopefully i can get a refund and still keep it.
NOW y'all are up to date, THIS is what SW is all about, telling the world what you're getting. 🎥
