7. Multiple Maniacs - John Waters - 1970 - 96 minutes

In my previous post i made known blatantly my desire for wackiness, so thankfully i had this within arm's reach in this messy environment to pop in. I remember the day this came in the mail, i had pre-ordered it, and it arrived a day before the official release date!!

John's previous film Mondo Trasho would be divine to see a proper release of, but the thing is it has lots of songs in it, so legalities crop up, which by the way is a problem with the making of featurette for the Doctor Who story - Planet of Fire, the way John Waters uses music however is simply wonderful though. The Kuchar Brothers (George and Mike) are the only fellas i can think of that excelled in that kind of sonic embellishment. Multiple Maniacs was preparing for his big international sensation Pink Flamingos, and is actually more daring than that, i think for example strict Catholics would enjoy Flamingos more.

I won't spoil anything, only encourage all fans of wacky cinema to check it out if ya haven't already .....:)
