I Crank the Stereo Way Up When I'm Driving

Okay, I have a confession... Nothing gets me going in the morning quite like blasting the most atrocious pop music in my car on the way to work! The lyrics are typically not too inventive, and the beats are repetitive, lacking distinguishable contrast, but maybe that's why I love it.

I'm able to drown everything else out and just live in that moment. Nodding my head to the entrancing recurrent rhythms. Just getting lost in myself. When I'm driving by myself, I'm literally in this encapsulated bubble from the rest of the world. Free to dance as wildly and sing as loudly as I desire... until I hit a stoplight, of course. ;)

Absolutely!

I really like how you were able to describe so many effects music has for you. The “wild dancing” and then the stoplight part made me laugh! I can’t even begin to count how many times I’ve been in a passenger seat just dancing, or (oh gosh) “concert singing.” Typically, I slowly turn my head to find the person in the next car over regarding me as though I were an anomaly that gained human form. 😂
So, good on you that you know when to stop!

Regardless of what some say, the Pop genre really is one of the greatest things to have in your arsenal if you ever need to get pumped and positive.

If you don’t mind my asking, what is one of your favorite Pop songs?

@SunlitXHermit That's awesome! Kudos to you for not letting anyone stop your dance sesh! Hmm... currently, one of my favorite pop songs is 'Feel it Still' by Portugal. The Man. I have to dance when it comes on!

Ah, sorry. I don’t deserve the chocolatey goodness of that kudos bar. I seem to have forgotten to add the part about “freezing up.” I definitely continue afterwards, though! 😆

And That’s a really good song! I remember hearing it on an Apple product commercial, so I pretty much had to get it afterwards. I know it’s only one song, but nice taste!

My favorite would have to be “Everything is Alright” by Motion City.

@SunlitXHermit I just gave that song a listen. I immediately started dancing as soon as he started singing! That's a good one! Thanks for sharing. :)

When I want to crank up, beyond 25%, I have a Remote Control, so I leave the Jeep on the Beach and a few hundred feet onto the Sand Dunes, and it makes the Rag Top flutter, like being in the path of big truck, when you see the waves in it really demonstrate the Concussions, in a Drum Roll. I want to install a Reverberator on the Bass 15 inchers. Where can I get some 24 inch speakers???? I have a Trailer they can fit into. I already have wires that are as big around as my Thumbs, I use 3 big Batteries to get 300 Amps to the Power supply, to get 2,000 Watts to the Speakers. I have Melted O2 wires. I don't like the smell of the Insulation on the wires, when they begin over heating. I love my Surround System. I love Classical. Celine Dion broke my ear drum. Did you know, the Surgeon uses a tiny bit of glue to fix the rip. Getting Glued together is popular now a days.
Do you listen to Andrea Bouchelle ? (ck spelling)

What kind of speakers do you have? What's your Amp power?

No, I've never listened to Andrea Bocelli, but after reading your post I did. What an expressive voice. I really like your taste in music. Wouldn't have expected you to be blasting Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli in your Jeep, but what a wonderful surprise.

I'm not a big car or technological person, so I don't know what kind of speakers or amp power I have. I drive a 2005 Honda cr-v, so whatever speakers come with that vehicle from the factory is what I use.

I agree. Nothing lifts my mood like a hellacious ear-ringing blast from a good car stereo. Maybe that's why I'm so damned hard of hearing at my age!

I ride to work with a girl who has the huge base speakers so by the time I get there I'm kinda excited lol

Yeah, isn't it cool how music can emotionally charge us? Crazy!
