I Believe In Equality

...of opportunity, not outcome

I've been thinking about this group on & off since I started using similarworlds on a somewhat regular basis. Thought maybe I'd end up writing a fancy explanation as to why I think the way I do. But, what's the bloody point? Lol! Some rainbow-haired millennial & her beta-male finger puppet would most likely come along & try to explain how I'm wrong because this generation will be the first to change over two hundred thousand years of ingrained human behaviour with the use of tumblr & however many genders there are this week. So screw it!

Equality of opportunity isn't strictly possible either, consistently. But it would be nice. & that's really the very best we can hope for overall. *shrugs*
Well first we have to achieve giving out a non threatening opinion, regardless of the side it comes from. Blue haired hippy or crew cut conservative. When you preface what a person is when knowing little of them it IS a threat of assumption.
In my 62 years of observing this world, dealing with gender dysphoria desiring some kind of normality. And attempting to sort it all out because of that "Gender Non Conformity". With an equal opertunity to do so and no garrantee that I am right (according to any non or popular trends this week). I can honestly say that I think I've got a good handle on human nature. There are givers and there are takers, There are Positve people and their are Negitive people. And there are masses of indifferent people just hoping nothing is going to stand in their way, so they can remain indifferent.
The only absolutes in life are death and taxes. I can choose to live my life, I can be threatened to live the life others wish me to. For what ever it matters in the broader scheme of things. I can only hope I've change it incrementally in favor of something better. As the only constant in this world is change!

I think... I think most are coming around to this view... slowly but surely. That's my hope anyway. In other words, I agree.

There's hope for all yet then. 😊
