The political gossips
The wending and winding
Researched, Philanthropic

Can't stop it, Can't watch it
I just spout Like a prophet
Winking and blinking
Can't take my eyes off it

It's raining and pouring
We're adrift without moorings
People casting their votes
With their leaders ignoring

We cry and we clamor
Watch the news in it's glamor
A few lies with the smiles
Another political scammer

Like hammers, they nail
As the country slides off the rail
First Taking, then foresaking
Their souls for the sale

Albeit, We see it
Don't do much to free it
We just watch the dream fade
And watch freedom flee it

Which weasel, which evil
Or should I vote for upheaval
When things fall too far
There is no retrieval
