Why do people give so much importance to money? It's not that hard to earn it

🤔

I'm 55 and can tell you it's always difficult to earn enough of it !

Employers have been having a good time for the last ten years paying wages at too low a rate to keep pace with inflation.
Same with landlords charging rent.

Time was all you had to worry about was paying your rent; food and local taxes.

Not anymore.

Expenses for food; heat; electricity; gas; water; work travel expenses; mobile phone (which many employers insist you have)insurances; and other expenses (if you run a vehicle; if you own a pet; if you have a parent or children to take care of etc) eat through whatever you earn pretty quickly.
@Picklebobble2 I hate the concept of Job, I still have one because of my mom haha

I mean it's definitely important to have it saved..don't know what life is gonna throw at you for sure. Money will definitely help you take life's curve balls.
Whether to help you get by when you lose a job, to pay for medical or unexpected expenses, or to be able to by you a plane ticket to escape the daily grind

The ones that give importance to money are those that don't have any of it.
@anythingoes477 I have seen people who have lots of it do the same as well 👀
@SimplyLogicalDiscipline People who have know the importance of it....but those that have none are the ones that bring the subject up. We just take it for granted.

Because it loses value until one day you wake up and your life savings cant even buy you a cup of coffee

Last time it worked was in the early thirties. 3/4 were very hungry or worse... and no unemployment welfare or social security.
