I Have Random Thoughts
This virus is strange.
It is bringing out the worst in people but also the best. I was outside yesterday and people, complete strangers, were waving and talking to each other from across the road. We have football teams here in Scotland where the managers and players are helping the old folk and the vulnerable, we have tens of thousands of Volunteers trying to alleviate the worst effects of the virus, and people helping complete strangers.
It is a strange thing that is stripping away the layers and allowing us to see the basic good in most people. True, there are the selfish hoarders and those without compassion, but from what I can see, the majority of people are decent, and that crosses all racial, national, gender and religious barriers.
Well done the human race.
The majority of us are pretty OK, really.
Let's get the politicians to recognise our similarities and stop looking for excuses for wars, trade embargoes that hurt the poorest, stop spending billions on armies and missiles, guns and espionage, and work together to make this world a better place.
Ordinary people can do good - so vote in humane and decent politicians who share our values, not war mongering ranters.
