I Have Random Thoughts

I was thinking recently how people struggle to pay for a funeral when a loved one dies, and the problem often is people are not prepared and have no insurance or insurance that they have no way covers the cost.
However there is ways to cut the cost dramatically, one way is to have a direct burial or cremation this means that you do not have a funeral service and no one is present the undertaker arranges with the authority carrying out the burial or cremation for suitable date and time.
I think this makes sence rather than being ripped of at a time when you are probably needing the money.

I agree. Except, I know I can visit my father’s grave when I feel the need.
@BlueRain If you have a cremation, they give you an urn and you can keep this anywhere you like.

If i died when i was on holiday abroad i would wish to be cremated abroad and maybe my ashes brought back, rather than the exceedingly high cost of having my body brought back.

We had people who gave us donations enough fir all the expenses when my mom died. My sister's bf even paid for the burial lot and other funeral expenses.

Both my parents were cremated. Both had their ashes scattered.
There is no place for me to go and do some sort of dramatic Batman pose over the graves of my parents.

My parents were cremated. My brother took my dad's when he died. When my mom died, I took hers. Still deciding what to do with them.
