I Have Random Thoughts

Why does the media make struggles seem so amazing and beautiful?
There are always those motivational speeches of people who have an illness, a disability or lost family members in some horrible accident, and they talk about facing hardships and getting past them to find some inner beauty bullshit. And then they talk about how pain made them stronger and without it they wouldn't be successful and accomplish so many things etc. Then the audience goes on about how such people are heros and start telling those "everyone is beautiful in their own way " lies.
However, we all know that, there are many disabled or ill individuals, and others who lost their loved ones, and some of them actually, got no where in life, on the other hand, many successful people, are completely healthy and considered perfect. And the media still ignores that and wants us to believe that we should let our struggles define us, because when we do, it'll portray us as amazing role models. So why does it refuse to face this truth?
I'll tell you why. Because we live in a world that still doesn't understand how to deal with differences, we don't want to think about this ugly truth so we're so politically correct when talking about things like that. No matter how much we don't like it, this is the stupid world we live in. And only if we decide to look closer and talk about it honestly, only if we stop lying about the definition of beauty, realize that we didn't get rid of stereotypes and understand that we failed to be truly accepting, only if we start to actually think before we believe, then the world will be a better place.

We have been taught that life is an problem or struggle..so keep working ot solving it..when there is mental struggle, there is expectation..expectations are from others or through others..eventually we get hurt or disappointed.. a vicious circle goes on.. media works on this.. they breed on fear, expectations, dreams, guilt, insecurity..so people try to find themselves in them..that's what they call it as motivation or hope.we try to identify but never question ourselves and media.. why they don't show a caring mother or birth of a child or helping hands or planting of trees or rescuing of animals..but they will always show rapes, parents leaving kids or how to earn more money because you are less fortunate.. curiosity is in comparison and self centered acts than whole world.. unfortunate world it is..
Maybe I am on the wrong topic but I have known ladies with breast cancer that hate pink October because all it does is remind them of what they are going through. And they hate the phrase "lost the battle with cancer" etc because they say they dont consider it a battle, just another horrible disease we dont know how to cure yet.
Well I know when I was going through some breast issues I was on a cancer support group and this was what I learned from them. I believe they are right also. I hate all the commotion in October because it is a terrible reminder of what I had to go through as well.
I agree with your statements above.

I hope someday people will realize that differences aren't actually beautiful etc, they're just make people different in some way...
