I Believe Family Is Very Important

Last month my sis was perfectly ok. Now she is battling a fight against cancer but is in the final stages. Last month we were talking about vacations now she cant even talk. I REALLY CANT take this and I am in no way prepared for this. Its like a nightmare and it's so surreal. Like being bit by a truck in full speed,so unsuspecting. So ground shattering. Im so weak Im on my knees but I am not going to pray. If HE really exists HE never listens anyway. I love you so much sis.

God listens. He doesn't interfere. However he will show you the answer when it's needed. He does listen. It is You who are not listening. Take your prayers to a place where you can have some quiet. A place where you can talk with your mind. Release your fears. You need to believe. Believe in your own strength. Be there for your sister. Do NOT cry in front of her unless perhaps she needs YOUR shoulder to lean against as she cries out her fears. It was caught early. Good thing!!!
Hold her. Remind her of the games you both played. Sing funny songs. Talk about embarrassing things you two did together. (The idea is to make her smile.) Allow her to, for even a short while forget about herself.) Be silly. Bring her balloons. On the way to the hospital stop and buy her favorite candy bar or ice-cream. Hold on to these final memories. AND just hold her hand.

We suffer at the loss of the ones we love, but I always tried to be mindful that they were the ones dying. It was my duty to love them the best I could right to their end. Later, I'd try to grieve & acknowledge my pain.
