Crazy sick, day two. Oh the joy.
I had a doctor'svisit Thursday. I felt great then, of course. I thought my allergies were acting up. I've never really had allergy problems, but everyone else had been complaining of ther allergies causing runny noses and irritated throats, so I thought, sure. Same symptoms, same thing. Nooo. Friday morning my doctor called right as I was heading off to work. She sounded concerned. You see, my appointment was basically a cancer screening. I have a bump, but she said it was nothing to worry about. So then on the phone Friday morning she stated my white blood count was very high. Obvious reason to be alarmed I suppose. I could hear her relief after I stated I'd woken up very sick that morning. I explained it was just a cold that's been going around and she told me if I'm feeling unwell two weeks from then to go back in for blood work. I'm sure I'll be fine by then. I'm already feeling a bit better. They sent me home from work yesterday. I threw up and almost passed out, so yeah. No work for me. I have to say that I have an amazing supervisor. She checked to see how I was feeling last night and went in early so I could stay home today. I really owe her. She is so good to me. If all bosses were as good to their employees as mine are, everyone would love their jobs and never quit. I'm very fortunate.
I'm supposed to go to a concert tonight. Not sure if that's going to happen. We'll see. I'm supposed to go to a baby shower tomorrow. I've been really looking forward to it! I'm not sure I want to go and get a pregnant lady sick though. Oh life. You have ridiculous timing, but it's all good I guess.
I really should get a new laptop. Typing in this iPad is not as productive as I'd like. Anyway, I guess this is about as productive as a SW post can get...We've got some whining, a couple complaints, a smidge of bluesy-ness. Yep. It's bona fide.
