I Am a Christian and I Love Jesus

I don't feel like I'm growing in my faith anymore....I feel full of the word...foolishly like I know it all now. For years I had been taking in knowledge and growing in leaps and bounds, but now its like as if I have just graduated from college and need to put my skills into practice and get into a career. In my case it would be living out the Christian life....but I'm sad. I'm sad because that natural high I got from learning things for the first time and growing has come to a plateau. I am complacent in my walk with Christ. I know that there will be future growth with new experiences but none like that which made me hear angels singing. I have cracked the code of the bible, I have all of the gifts...now what? Put them into practice and refine them? I'm already doing that! I pray to God for more new learning opportunities so that I can enjoy that kind of growth again.

You have not yet begun your Christian walk and the learning you have you will soon discard. When I was a child I thought like a child and I acted like a child. When I became an adult I put childish ways behind me.

@CopperCicada: How is it a sin? As a pastor I don't think of it as being a sin. I think of it as normal.

We all go through periods like that. Don't worry... the Lord gets you through those as well. In addition, one thing that worked for me... is to find a good book. I'm reading NT Wright's Surprised by Scripture - that makes me want to re-engage more.
