I Am Afraid of Failure

To some extent. It's why I keep fighting against the prospect of it until the last moment.
But, if I do fail, I've learned not to take it too seriously. After all, most of the time it turns your obsession from a serious need into a big joke, and when that happens you've got to laugh a little. And if it doesn't feel like a joke afterwards, it just makes you feel more motivated to strive for the thing you didn't achieve.
Short term failure's a good way of achieving things in the long term. I try to fail every once in a while, because it shows me I'm making an effort.

failure is only scary if you've got an even bigger failure pointing out to you yours.
