I Was Bullied

On Friday I was holding hands in school with Sophie, my girlfriend, when we got picked on by a girl who has persistently bullied me. Normally I would ignore the remarks, but she was really offensive this time and she made Sophie cry, so I told a teacher who has been helping me with my bullying problems.

Now that girl has been suspended from school, because she displayed homophobic hatred.

I cannot pretend that I am not glad that she will not be at school next week. So I can get on with my life without fear. But it puzzles me why this action has only been taken now. Over the past two years she has sworn at me, bruised me, cut me, torn my clothes and thrown my clothes into the shower while I was doing PE.

All of this seemed to be hatred in my eyes, but nothing was done about it. This time she did not affect us very badly, but the adults sat up and paid attention 😟
