I Was Bullied

I used to do gymnastics as a kid and I’m a friendly person so I talked to everyone and the girls I tried to befriend said they hated me, spit at me, and other things because my dad was black. I didn’t understand at the time why they hated the fact, but it hurt and I just felt embarrassed (I’m 💯 proud now lol) aside from acting I did want to be a famous gymnast and till this day I still never told my parents exactly why I wanted to quit gymnastics. I’m proud of being black and white. I love my parents so much

If I could give advice to the 8 year old me I’d say as you grow older there will continue to be bullies, cold hearted people, and people who just wanna bring you down because of their own personal problems... continue doing what you love because you only live once and life is too short to please others before yourself.
